The Cost-Per-Wear Calculator
The same arithmetic as every ledger on this site, run on your numbers. Enter a garment you are considering — the well-made version and the cheap one — and see what each truly costs per wear.
How the inputs work
Wears per year assume rest days: a piece worn in a real rotation, not daily until it dies. Years of service end when the garment stops looking like itself — the collar bubbles, the knit pills, the seam peels — not when it physically falls apart. The full reasoning, including where this method breaks, is on The Ledger Method.
